There are not many yard sale bargains in this neck of the woods.
But today I found one. All 4 of these were purchased for a total of $15.00

# 1 IS A 22 INCH HARD BODY DOLL. SHE HAS MOLDED HAIR .ON THE BACK OF THE NECK STATES{ IDEAL DOLLS } LOOKS LIKE p-22-2 OR b-27-2 . SHE. HAS A HOLE ON HER BACK FOR A PULL STRING SO SHE WAS A TALKER.

#2 SHE IS 18 INCHES TALL, WEARING YELLOW WITH BLACK SHOES WRITING ON NECK LOOKS LIKE 1 7VW OR i 7VW sHE IS STRUNG TOGETHER AT ARMS LEGS HAVE PINS TO HOLD THE ON.

The major difference in this doll and the one I was looking for is the head is softer on this one. It can be squeezed. The one I had was thicker and could not be squeezed. There is a difference in the feet too. My doll may have been an older version. This one has 25-11 on the back of the neck.
where the one below that got away was v-25-1.
I will be happy and satisfied with this one. I made this outfit for it till I make or find some thing else.

I knew I had to buy him. And Grandma said They call it menopause because mad cow disease was taken. I went ahead a bought both, They both sing too when you squeeze there hand. The grandsons love them.

The small doll in the middle is not my girl doll in child hood. She is very small. My doll was about 24 inches. The size of the doll to her right. They came together in a set. The Talking Tessi doll is a ventriloquist doll. Also my daughters name is Tessa. So I bought it. She made the longest journey. And was sent Canadian express.
The other 2 from California.
The dolls were so cold when they arrived I bundled them up and my cat Reba decided to take a nap with them. I have read how temperature changes can damage the eyes of dolls. So it is not that I am babying them. Just trying to reverse any travel damage. I have also read keeping them in a lay down position. You can do permanent damage to there sleep eyes.

Here is a nice large original EFFANBEE doll in good condition! Specifics on the date and some other information is unknown, but the doll is in nice shape and it is about 22" long with a yellow two piece outfit with Little Girl embroidered on the dress. Great vinyl and rubber doll for anyone and in very nice condition! This doll is awesome. But again not my boy doll. I paid US $15.50 Shipping: US $14.22 this was worth every penny.

This one is the closes one yet to the doll I AM LOOKING FOR.
The size may be right. It had a heavier rubber like head. I am not sure this is the eye color.

Daughter saves the day

My daughter Amy drove by today and saw all these packages at my front door. She knew they were my dolls. And she brought them in to find hubby sleeping on the couch. So I let her have the honor of opening the box's As these dolls are not play dolls. The composition doll is in a bit worse condition than the photo below. I do not know if he was chipped more in the mail. But he is a true treasure. He is not my childhood doll I was looking for. But he is even older. And a bit smaller.
The doll a day dolls have been removed from the box but in great shape. They have been touched.

The Gerber doll is perfect and dose look untouched.
Then there is the Jozlen doll. LOL she is 6 weeks old now. LOL

Santa came today!

I was so excited to get the first of my buying spree today.

Look that all came with cloths on. No naked baby's.

These all are so cute.

Here they all are together. I have decided they will be played with.

Even my grandsons will like the wizard of oz.

As you can tell Crash had to inspect them too. I did not post the shot of him getting a closer look as it was a but shot. LOL

I have to stop buying things now as I have to save my money for my trip in March. It is so hard to stop after you start to buy things you love. I have not spent money like this in years. Other than last Feb I bough books. Lots of books. I may post them to this blog as they are life changing books.

Vintage Horsman Dolls LOT of 3!

First: Horsman Doll Marked 34 on back. Lips pucker and cherry color. I believe she is a drink and wet baby since she has a hole in the lip area for something to drink and a hole at her bottom to pee I would assume. I do not know much about these dolls so if someone knows her name please advise. She has glassine eyes that open and close. She needs a bath and then I would see no flaws.
Second: Marked 1967 I believe, the numbers are hard for me to read. Limbs and Face are soft. I believe there might have been a string of some sort since there is a spot for one on the back. Needs bath also.
Third: Complete body soft. Marked 1970 something, I cannot see last digit. Needs bath also.

crock pot chicken casarole

Today I took out some frozen chicken tenders.
Ran them under hot water to remove paper from back side.Placed them in the crock pot about 2:30. Added 1 can cream of chicken soup. and 1 can water. Place on high. Let cook till 5:00 . Added 1/2 pound fusilli noodles. about 2 1/2 cups more hot water. shook in some lemon pepper seasoning. cover and cook 1/2 hour or till noodle is tender enough to eat. Add asparagus, corn, or what ever veggie you are in the mood for.
Taste I give it a b for bland
It is good like this. It just need maybe corn bread or dome thing else with it.
I think I will try broccoli cheese soup next time.

Taco salad

I cheated tonight and bought one,

But They are easy to make, You can place a flower tortilla shell over a glass bowl and bake in oven at 375-400 about 6-10 min every thing depends on how hot and fast your oven is. The shell should be crisp only a tint of color.

Then add every thing you love.
Refried beans
Seasoned ground Beef or Turkey even chicken
Add lettuces
Cheese
Tomatoes
Onions olives sprouts

even try it with chillie rather than Just meat or beans

Sour cream
avocados
Salsa or guacamole
What ever you love to eat in it.

Crock pot round steak

This is a very easy

Take 1 thin cut lean round steak cut in half
place in crock pot on high
add 1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can watter
I use frozen chopped bell peppers and onions
add a handful or more if you really like them
garlic 1/2 teaspoon
salt & pepper to taste
cook on high 3-5 hours depending on how hot your is.
serve with Mash potatoes
and veggie

CABBAGE ROLLS WITH OUT THE ROLL

I DO NOT GO TO ALL THE TROUBLE OF PLACING THE MEAT IN THE CABBAGE LEAF. I JUST SLICE CHUCKS AND PLACE THEM IN A LARGE POT.
I add 1 can of tomato juice
add 1/2 can of water or as much needed to cover food
1 tea spoon Greek seasoning
garlic and salt to taste.
boil on high 20 minutes
add potatoes with or with out skin

turn down to med heat when it starts to boil over.

Mix 1 lb lean ground round with rice. maybe 1 cup
add chopped onion and green pepper
or just place them in pot.
form balls

cook another 30-40 min on med
serve with toasted cheese sandwich or butter bread
This is easy comfort food
you can also use ground turkey or chicken with beef or by it's self.
If I am in a veggie mode I add corn on the colb or broccoli & cauliflower to pot.
